I am basically self taught with a year's worth of formal classroom instruction thrown in for good measure.

My photos reflect my love of nature - the obvious or the often overlooked. 

I have always gravitated towards nature shots since I feel less rushed and can take my time - insects, flowers, trees and rivers seem never tire of posing! I like to get close and try to find something that might be overlooked or 'develop' them in a way that reflects how I saw them.

But I am also drawn to other subjects as well. I sometimes see design, form, balance and beauty in objects and/or their surroundings. An image might make me wonder what the story behind it is or it may have just caught my eye.
